• Business Development and Member Services Manager

    The Builders League of South Jersey (BLSJ) is seeking a Business Development and Member Services Manager who is a dynamic sales, marketing, and operations professional to be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and developing new members, providing exceptional service to increase the retention of our existing builder and associate membership and managing the social marketing platform for the organization.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Membership – Development, Recruitment & Retention
      • Develop and manage recruitment campaigns that will attract new members and retain current members
      • Responsible for membership data management and reporting in the CRM
      • Develop a social media campaign using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. to promote BLSJ membership and drive traffic to member websites
      • Plan and implement BLSJ new and existing membership events
        • Develop new member Orientation Program
        • Propose Networking Events that encourage prospective and existing member participation
      • BLSJ membership liaison to the NJ Builders Association (NJBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
      • Develop and implement communication and follow up strategy to attract new prospective members
      • Develop and implement retention strategy to encourage retention of existing members
      • Develop internal management policy for follow up with past due members and potential member cancellations.
      • Develop and maintain member services procedure – promoting the value of the BLSJ, addressing membership concerns and questions as well as providing membership guidance and assistance
      • Manage Member Benefits Program by promoting existing benefits and developing new benefits for the membership
    • Membership Committee
      • Staff Lead for Membership Committee –work hand in hand with Volunteer Committee to achieve BLSJ membership goals.
      • Develop, prepare and distribute new member information packets
    • BLSJ Association Committees
    • Develop strategy for seeking new member participation for all BLSJ Committees
    Education and Experience
    Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of relevant Business Development experience required.

    • Self-starter capable of taking initiative
    • Proficient with Social Media Platforms
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
    • Experienced and knowledge with CRM system
    • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and special events 
    • Valid Driver’s license and valid auto insurance coverage required
