The Covid pandemic has had a dramatic impact on our industry - affecting our ability to work together, causing significant construction delays, disrupting our supply chains, increasing our costs and affecting customer relationships.
Join us for a spirited discussion among panelists including Builder members, material suppliers and Trade Partners, who will address these issues and share experiences and ideas on how we can work more closely together to mitigate the many issues that the pandemic has created. Learn how you can improve your working relationships and productivity with all three “legs of the stool” – builders, material suppliers and trade partners – as our industry continues to deal with the massive disruptions caused by the ongoing pandemic.
The panel will discuss how builders and suppliers/trades groups are working together (or should be) to address the many challenges being faced today, such as:
1. Skilled labor challenges
2. Material shortages and partial deliveries
3. Construction cycle delays caused by these issues
4. Rising material costs and the pressure on builder's financial performance - how can we work together to mitigate costs (without demanding pricing concessions from trades/suppliers)
5. Working together to maximize productivity, efficiency, reduced error and rework reducing "dry runs" or return trips to install back-ordered materials
Attendees are encouraged to discuss these issues and to share ideas about how they've addressed them
